Hello All!
THE SHOW
Hello all!
It has been a couple of weeks since we last posted, so I am overdue for a catchup with y’all. THE OTHERWORLD was an amazing event!
The exhibition explored over a century of artists who have used diverse means to create rich and immersive worlds that push the borders of human understanding. The participating artists, some living, some past, were engaged in various traditions for creating visionary art including spiritual practices, exercises to expand the imagination, and psychedelia. Michael Pearce, the curator, has published a couple of great texts, If you would like to see more, and see some of the other artists in the exhibition, please click on the links below:

I learned long ago, It is essential to have a half-finished piece waiting for me in the art studio. That way I come back to a work already in momentum. Then I don’t have to find the energy to start from zero. Thankfully, I have just such a work in process, and I will share more on it later.
But also, it is helpful to just play, go back to old practices, and make a big pile of drawings just for the sake of drawing. So out came the walnut ink, and pastels… and I started drawing:
